Event overview

The Eggcellent Easter Pink Run is the second day in a five-day series organised by Saturn Running. The event takes place at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham (Runnymede area). It is held as a 7-hour Time Challenge, so participants choose how many laps to complete. The minimum distance to be an official finisher is 3 km. A full lap is listed as 7 km (4.37 miles) but the course may be changed to a 3.28-mile loop depending on conditions. Entry prices in the listed offers range from £18 to £35; a reduced member price of £23 is noted for members, who are also guaranteed entry and receive a small medal pin at events they attend.

Course and facilities

The route runs along the River Thames and is fully signed. About 60% of the course is on a well-made path or tarmac; the remainder is grass and light trail that can become muddy at times. Road shoes are suitable year round; trail shoes may be used for extra grip. Aid and drinks tables are available at the start/finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan options. Toilets, changing facilities and a cafe are at race HQ. There is an unmanned bag drop by the start/finish and a pay-on-exit carpark at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive an Easter egg themed medal; distance pins are provided for half-marathon and longer. Headphones are allowed and participants are asked to be considerate of other public footpath users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
