Event

Berko 10km is a 10 km trail running event in the rolling hills and vales around the historical town of Berkhamsted in the Chiltern Hills. The route uses woods and local paths and starts near castle ruins. The course passes areas that include World War I practice trenches. Participants are grouped by ability and run with a guide who offers trail running tips and local historical information. Organisers recommend runners can manage a 5 km continuous run before attending. Entry fee shown is £23.00 and the event has a stated limit of 60 spaces.

Practical information

Registration is between 8.15am and 8.45am. The stated meeting location is near Berkhamsted Football Club; Berkhamsted train station is a few minutes’ walk away. Free on-site parking is available. Facilities at the event include toilets and bag drop. Dogs are allowed only with cani-cross equipment. Included in the event are a run leader, bag storage and trail running instruction.
