The Humanity Direct Amersham Ultra is a one-day charity event on 7 March 2026 at Dr Challoner's Grammar School, Chesham Road, Amersham, Buckinghamshire (HP6 5HA). Distances offered:

Ascent gain for the courses ranges from 149 m to 610 m. The minimum age for entry is 18.

Route and checkpoints

The routes start and finish at Dr Challoner's Grammar School and run through the Chiltern Hills, including the Misbourne Valley and the Chess Valley. The courses mainly follow footpaths and bridleways with a short amount of road, and are marked with tape, paint and direction arrows. GPX and printable route information are provided. The ultra distance has four checkpoints, the half ultra has two, and the 10 km route has no checkpoints. Example checkpoint locations include Great Missenden Church, St Mary’s Church Chesham, a point near Chenies Garden Centre, and Chalfont St Giles.

Support, entry and logistics

Included on race day are free parking at the school, full medical cover, toilets, showers and changing facilities, checkpoint food and water, finish-line tea, coffee and cake, action photos free to download, prizes and a finisher’s medal. Compulsory kit is a fully charged mobile phone and a minimum 500 ml of water; additional items may be made compulsory depending on weather. The organiser offers either paid entry (fees are donated) or free entry for participants who commit to fundraising for Humanity Direct. Refunds of 70% are available up to one month before the event, with a 100% transfer credit option to another Humanity Direct one-day event; there are no refunds after that time. Trail runs nearby

Choose your distance on the day from 7 km up to a 40 mile ultra on scenic mixed trail and road loops around Chalfont Park. Drop bags, pacers and crew are welcome and there is an aid station plus a trained medic on site for support.

Tackle the Thames Trail Ultra, a scenic 47 mile point to point run from Iffley to Henley on Thames. Enjoy mainly off road riverside trails, friendly checkpoints and a welcoming finish with showers and hot drinks.
