Event Overview

The Eggcellent Easter Pink Run is a multi-distance running event held in Egham along the River Thames. This event is part of a five-day series, though participants can choose to run individual days. The event is designed with a 7-hour time challenge format, giving participants control over the total distance they complete within the time limit.

Distances

Participants can complete various distances based on the number of laps finished:

  • 3 km
  • 5 km
  • 10 km
  • 7 km (single lap)
  • Half Marathon (3 laps)
  • Marathon (6 laps)
  • 50 km
  • Ultra Marathon (7 or more laps)

Course and Facilities

The route follows the River Thames on a fully signed course. Approximately 60% of the terrain consists of tarmac or well-made paths, while the remaining 40% is grass and light trail. While road shoes are suitable year-round, trail shoes may be used for better grip on the grass sections.

The race headquarters at Runnymede includes toilets, changing facilities, and a cafe. An unmanned bag drop area is located near the start and finish line. For those driving, a large pay-on-exit car park is available at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds.

Participant Support

An aid station is positioned at the start and finish of every lap, offering a variety of sweet and savoury snacks, fruit, cheese, and vegan options. All finishers who complete at least 3 km receive an Easter egg-themed medal and a goody bag, with a specific vegan goody bag available for those who prefer it. Runners achieving a half marathon distance or further also receive a dedicated distance pin for their medal ribbon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
