Eggcellent Easter Orange Run : event overview

The Eggcellent Easter Orange Run is the first day of a five-day series held at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham TW20 0AA. The event offers an orange Easter egg themed medal for finishers who complete at least 3 km. Walkers are permitted. A reduced entry price of £23.00 is available only to members; members also receive a mini-me medal pin at events. The next scheduled race date listed is 02/04/2026.

Course, distances and facilities

The course follows a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. About 60% of the route is on well-made path or tarmac, with the remainder on grass and light trail; some sections can become muddy. Road shoes are suitable year round; trail shoes may be used for extra grip. The event is a 7-hour time challenge, allowing participants to choose how many laps to run. There are 3k and 5k turn points within the lap to help comply with age restrictions.

  • Full lap 7 km (4.37 miles) - may change to a 3.28 mile loop
  • Half marathon = 3 laps
  • Marathon = 6 laps
  • Ultra = 7 or more laps; 50 km option available

Aid and services include an aid/drinks table at the start/finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items; standard and vegan goody bags for finishers; medals with distance pins for half-marathon and above. Toilets, changing facilities and a cafe are at race HQ. Bag drop is unmanned and items are left at the participant’s risk. Pay-on-exit car parking is available at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds.
