The event is a 10 km trail race held in Epping Forest, Chingford. The course comprises two laps of forest tracks and starts and finishes on the open grassed area next to Chingford Plain Car Park. Epping Forest is owned and managed by the City of London and is noted in the event details for its ancient pollard trees and many lakes and ponds.

The route is described as undulating and is run on multi terrain forest tracks. The race is traffic free and uses chip timing provided by Timing4Sport. Distance markers are placed every kilometre and there is a water station at the 5 km point. Entry is limited to 600 places. Entry fees are listed from £22.00 for affiliated entrants and £24.00 for unaffiliated entrants, with entries closing on 28 March 2026. Minimum age for entry is 15. Finishers receive a medal and prize money is offered for the first three male and female overall finishers.
