The Run London Epping Forest Trail 10k takes place on 29 March 2026 in Epping Forest, Chingford. The race distance is 10K, run as two laps of the forest. The course is traffic free, on forest tracks and multi terrain with an undulating profile. The event is limited to 600 entries. Minimum age to enter is 15. Chip timing is provided by Timing4Sport and positions are determined by gun time. Distance markers are provided every kilometre and there is a water station at the 5 km point. Finishers receive a medal.

Logistics and prizes

Race headquarters and registration are at Chingford Plain Car Park, Bury Road, Chingford, E4 7AZ. Participants are asked to use the Bury Road overflow car park; the golf course car park and the main Chingford Plain car park should not be used. Bag drop and changing facilities are available at Race HQ. First aid and refreshments at Race HQ are provided. Entry fees are £22 (affiliated) and £24 (unaffiliated); entries close on 23 March 2026. Individual prizes for overall finishers are £50, £30 and £20 for first to third in male and female categories. Take to flat, scenic trails through Alexandra Gardens beside Windsor Castle with chip timing and friendly post race goodies. Choose 10K or half marathon, enjoy well marked routes, free photos and an event village for food and drinks.

Dark Rose is a 5.5 mile trail race around Great Waltham with a small 75 runner field and self navigation route given on the day. Finish back at the Rose and Crown for a hearty cottage pie or vegetable lasagne.

Nighttime street orienteering in Basildon as part of the Essex Winter Midweek Series 2025/26. MapRun is used and two score-format courses are offered with series points awarded using an age and gender handicap system.

Drama Llama Run on the Thames towpath offers timed laps on a flat 5.3 km out and back course with a seven hour limit and a flexible start window. Pick 5 km to ultra and enjoy race support, same day results and a finisher medal.
