The Essex County Fell Championships is a fell running race taking place on Saturday, 18 April 2026. This event is the first-ever Essex County Championship for this discipline. The course is described as new.

Course Details

The race covers a distance of 10 km (6.2 miles) with a total climb of 450 m (1476 ft). The start line is a 10-minute walk from the event headquarters. The venue for the event is the Jubilee Retreat on Bury Road in Chingford.

Participation and Entry

Entry is by pre-entry only; entry on the day is not available. The pre-entry fee is £5.00. The event is open entry, meaning anyone can participate. However, only runners who are qualified for Essex will be eligible to win the county championship prizes.

Additional Information

A 10 km two lap trail race in Epping Forest, Chingford on 29 March 2026. The undulating multi terrain course is chip timed, has a water station at 5 km and distance markers each kilometre, and awards a finisher medal.
