Run the Wild Half Marathon is a guided trail half marathon in the Chiltern Hills, based at The Home Office in Tring. The route is approximately 13 miles / 21.1 km with an ascent of around 300 m. The event is run as a half-day activity and the spring route is slightly different to the autumn edition. Local English Athletics qualified run leaders lead the groups and provide trail technique instruction. Participants are grouped by ability and steep sections are walked.

Logistics and entry

There are 50 spaces available. The spring individual entry price listed is £55. Facilities at the start location include toilets, a cafe, bag drop and a checkpoint. A well stocked refreshment point is provided just over halfway on the route. The venue has free on-site parking and Tring train station is about a 10 minute walk away. The location is around 40 minutes northwest of London by rail or road. The event is dog friendly if runners use cani-cross equipment. Participants must be able to run 10 km on the road in 90 minutes or less. Included items are a run leader, refreshment point and a finisher’s medal. Personal insurance and travel are not included.
