Run the Wild Half Marathon

Run the Wild Half Marathon is a guided trail event in the Chiltern Hills that covers 13 miles / 21.1 km with an ascent of around 300 m. The event is scheduled as a half day and the Spring edition is listed for 28 March 2026. The meeting point is the Iron Room near Tring Station, which is a short walk from the station; paid parking is available at the station with limited free on-street parking nearby.

Runners are grouped by ability and led by local English Athletics qualified Run Leaders. The event includes on-route trail technique coaching, a well stocked refreshment point just over halfway, and a finisher’s medal together with a Trees not Tees certificate. Steeper sections are walked when required.

Facilities at the venue include toilets, a bag drop and a checkpoint. The event is dog friendly for participants using cani-cross equipment. There is a minimum fitness requirement: participants should be able to run 10 km on the road in 90 minutes or less. The organiser notes a maximum of 50 spaces and an individual entry price of £55 for the Spring edition.

A mandatory kit list is provided by the organiser and bookings are typically acknowledged within one business day. The route for the Spring edition differs slightly from the Autumn edition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
