About the race
Summer Trails & Ales 10K takes place on 15th August 2026 and runs for approximately half a day over 10 km (about 6 miles). The meeting point is at Tring Market Auctions / Tring Market Place, and the event finishes at Tring Brewery.
The run is a guided trail through rolling countryside and woodland paths in the Chiltern Hills. The route includes trails with some hills; steep sections may be walked. Participants are grouped by ability and should be able to run 5 km non-stop. The organiser notes the event is intended to be social and relaxed.
What is included: a Run Leader, trail running instruction, a brewery tour and tasting at Tring Brewery, a pint of beer or a soft drink in the Piggeries beer garden, bag storage, and the route scenery. Pizza will be available to purchase but is not included. The organiser lists personal insurance and travel as not included. The event has a stated capacity of 50 spaces and a finisher's beer option.
Practical details: there is on-site pay and display parking. The nearest train station is Tring; taxis are available and the walk from the station is about 1.7 miles along pavements. A list of mandatory kit is provided by the organiser and booking confirmation will include joining instructions; a minimum group size is required for the event to go ahead.
