About the race
The Harvathon is a lapped trail event held at Kings Walden Road in Hitchin, United Kingdom. The main route follows a 5 km off-road loop through farmland, woodland and village views, with one notable steep section often mentioned by participants. The format gives participants seven hours to run or walk as many laps as they wish, returning to the event base between laps. Facilities at the event base include an aid station, toilets, an event village with food and coffee vendors, and family activities such as a bouncy castle.
The programme also offers post-event stretch sessions and massage, finisher medals and goody bags, and refreshments available for purchase. On-site parking is available with additional overflow parking a short walk away at Offley Hoo Farm. The Harvathon runs alongside a Mini Mile for children and a Virtual Harvathon option. The event promotes an inclusive, community atmosphere and supports The Thinking Hat Company, an organisation focused on young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
