The Harvathon 2026 : Hitchin, Kings Walden Rd

The Harvathon is a lapped trail event held on a roughly 5 km off‑road loop around Hitchin and nearby countryside. Participants may run or walk as many laps as they choose within a seven hour window. The event offers both on‑site and virtual options, plus a Mini Mile for children.

The route uses mixed terrain including trail, grass and woodland with some road sections and notable hills; one section is described as steep. The event base includes an event village and a clear start/finish area with basic facilities such as toilets, an aid station and parking with overflow at Offley Hoo Farm. Food and coffee are available from a van for purchase. Post‑race provisions reported by attendees include a finisher medal, a goodie bag, post event stretch sessions and free massage sessions.

Organisers list amenities for families and spectators, including bouncy castles and kids entertainment. The event is run by Run Strong and some proceeds are used to support charity. Reviews mention marshals stationed along the course, visible signage, plentiful snacks at the base and a friendly, inclusive atmosphere created by volunteers and the event village. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
