15th Steppingley Step
The 15th Steppingley Step takes place on 15 November 2026, with routes starting from Barton-le-Clay. The event offers three long-distance walking options:
- 26 miles
- 18 miles
- 12 miles (walkers only)
Online entry is available via SiEntries. Priority entry is reserved for LDWA members until the end of Sunday 18 October and requires the entrant's LDWA membership number. Entry opens for all on Monday 19 October. Entries are limited to 250; a waiting list will be maintained when the event is full. SiEntries closes on 13 November 2026.
Non-LDWA members are not covered by LDWA personal accident insurance. Membership of the LDWA is available for an annual fee of £15 and includes LDWA insurance and other member benefits.
The Steppingley Step is part of the S-S-S Triple Challenge series, which comprises the Shillington Shuffle, Steppingley Step and Sundon Saunter. These events occur on a three-year cycle. Participants who complete the S-S-S Triple Challenge, in any order and at any distance, receive a certificate and badge. Badges and certificates are distributed at headquarters when qualifying participants return to the event finish; participants who believe they have qualified but have not received recognition should contact the booking-in team.
