Saturn 7 Hour Time Challenge - Wraysbury

Wraysbury, United Kingdom • 14 Aug 2026

Event Format

This is a timed running event with a 7-hour duration. Participants choose their own distance by completing laps within the time limit. A full lap is approximately 7 km (4.37 miles), though this distance is subject to change based on course conditions. There is a minimum completion distance of 3 km to be considered an official finisher.

The lap-based format allows runners to complete distances including a half marathon (3 laps), marathon (6 laps), or ultra marathon (7+ laps). A 50 km distance is also available. Separate turn points for 3 km and 5 km are within the lap for younger participants. Age restrictions apply for longer distances: runners must be 20 or older to run over 45 km.

Course

The route follows a stretch of the River Thames. The surface is primarily well-made paths and tarmac, with a very short grass section. Road shoes are suitable. The course is fully signed, and no navigation is required. The specific loop is subject to change based on a final safety review and landowner approval.

Facilities & Perks

All finishers (3 km minimum) receive a finisher's medal. Participants running a half-marathon distance or more can collect a distance pin (Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km, or Ultra) for their medal ribbon.

An aid station at the start/finish of each lap provides a selection of drinks, savoury snacks, sweet items, fruit, cheese, and vegan options. Vegan goody bags are available.

Toilets and changing facilities are located at the race headquarters, which also has a cafe. There is an area to leave bags near the start/finish, but it is not a secure or watched area.

Logistics

Parking is available at the Runnymede Pleasure Grounds car park, which uses a pay-on-exit system. Race number collection is on the day at registration. Headphones are permitted during the run. The event is held on public footpaths, and participants are asked to be considerate of other path users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
