The Sargent Elementary 5K Turkey Trot takes place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 29 Education Drive, Beacon, NY 12508. It is the 4th annual Sargent Elementary School Turkey Trot and includes the following events:

  • 5K Run/Walk
  • Kids Fun Run (12 and under)

The 5K course runs along trails at Long Dock Park. The Kids Fun Run is led by Sargent Elementary PE staff and takes place on the school campus.

Community features and on-site services

The event includes a food drive organized by the SES Student Council in partnership with Fareground Food + Community, collecting non-perishable and canned food items; donations may be dropped off at Sargent Elementary from November 1–22. Post-race activities include music from a live DJ, refreshments, and awards. Organizers added team sign-ups this year for families, groups of friends, or workplace teams.
