John Jay Community Trail Race

Cross River, United States • 12 Apr 2026

The John Jay Community Trail Race, held in Cross River, NY, is a competitive 5k run on the newly developed John Jay Community Cross Country Trail. The course begins on the lower fields of the John Jay Campus, quickly entering challenging, hilly wooded trails near the middle and high schools, and finishes on the John Jay Contest Track & Field. Alongside the 5k run, there is a non-competitive 4k Jay Walk that follows most of the same trail, excluding a southern hill loop. A Kids Jay Dash of 200 meters is also offered for children ages 2-11. The event fosters community spirit with volunteer-built trails and offers race t-shirts to early registrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
