Santa Fe Striders Running Festival

The Santa Fe Striders Running Festival is a cross-country event held at the Municipal Recreation Sports Complex in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The courses consist primarily of trail and dirt roads, with only 0.25 miles of the route on other surfaces.

Participants can choose from several distance options:

  • 5K cross country race.
  • 10K race consisting of two loops of the 5K course.
  • 200 meters for children aged 3-4.
  • 400 meters for children aged 5-6.
  • 800 meters for children aged 7-8.
  • 1 mile for children aged 9-10.
  • 2 miles for youth aged 11-14.

The 5K race features specific team divisions for high school students, including categories for boys, girls, and coed teams. Each team must consist of five runners, with scoring determined by the top three finishers in the single-gender divisions or a combination of the top three finishers in the coed division.

Financial awards are available for the top male, female, and non-binary overall finishers in the 5K and 10K races, as well as the first male and female finishers in the masters category for those aged 40 and over. Standard ten-year age group categories are also recognized. All children participating in the youth races receive medals. Participants who register by June 25 are guaranteed event giveaway items.
