Sanders' Saunter Charity Race is an annual trail event organized by the Lawrence Trail Hawks at Clinton State Park, Shelter 1, Corps of Engineers Overlook Park, 798 N 1402 Rd, Lawrence, KS 66049. Distances offered include:

The course starts and finishes at Shelter 1. Runners follow the park white trail, turn south on the yellow trail to ascend and descend the ridge of Sanders Mound, then return on the white trail. 10K runners access Lake Henry aid station and use the blue trail before returning to the mound and finish. 25K and 50K runners continue on the white trail to a connector past mile marker 9 to reach the blue trail. The 50K consists of two loops of the 25K course.

Aid stations are listed as Lake Henry (optional), Lands Ends (two locations), Lake Henry again, and the Start/Finish. 25K and 50K participants are required to carry a handheld or hydration pack. Drop bags are available at Lands End and the Start/Finish aid station.

Packet pickup is available race morning and Friday evening at Lawrence Beer Company WEST. SWAG is sold separately with proceeds to the event charity; SWAG orders require placement by October 30 and related fundraising donations are requested by October 26. The event lists Falling Forward as its charity partner and offers a Hero Runner fundraising program with tiered goals and rewards, including waived registration and additional items at higher fundraising levels.

Dogs are permitted on course but must be leashed and controlled. The event does not allow refunds, deferrals, or transfers and does not permit transfer of bibs between participants.
