The event is the 17th annual race and names Falling Forward as the 2025 charity partner. SWAG items are sold separately with proceeds to the charity; SWAG orders must be placed by midnight on October 26. Registration closes November 6 at 11:59 PM CT. The race does not allow refunds, deferrals, or transfers of entries. Race numbers and bibs may not be transferred to other people.

Course, aid, and rules

The course starts and finishes at Shelter 1. Runners follow the white trail, turn south on yellow to ascend and descend the ridge of Sanders Mound, then return to the white trail. 10K runners access the Lake Henry aid station and return on the blue trail. 25K and 50K runners continue past Mile Marker 9, use a connector to the blue trail, and return to the finish. The 25K includes one trip to the mound; the 50K is two loops of the 25K course. 25K and 50K runners must carry a handheld or hydration pack. Aid stations are listed at Lake Henry, Lands Ends, and Start/Finish; drop bags are available at Lands End and Start/Finish. Packet pickup is available race morning and Friday 5-7 PM at Lawrence Beer Company WEST. The event includes a Hero Runner fundraising program with $250, $500, and $750 levels offering tiered rewards. Join the Tour de Trail at Shawnee Mission Park South on November 15, 2025 for a scenic 10k through Kansas City trails. Bring your own hydration, enjoy clock timing and finish refreshments, and chase series swag and awards.

Flat, accessible rails to trails running on crushed limestone through scenic Kansas towns in an out and back from Ottawa. Distances 5 to 100 miles, aid about every 5 miles, pacers in second halves, and buckles or medals for finishers.
