Sandam Burro Jam Camp

Sandam Burro Jam Camp is a three-day burro-running event held at Sandam Ranch, a 100-acre site in the Prescott National Forest near Dewey, Arizona. The weekend features three races: a 3-mile Burro Fun Run, a 6-mile Intro Burro Race, and a 9-mile Pack Burro Race, with packing gear required for the longest distance. The course blends forest road, forest two-track, General Crook Trail, Black Canyon Trail, sand washes, and brush, marked with ribbons at turns.

Camping is included. Activities include a Friday welcome dinner, a Saturday costume contest with a Pixar theme, a treasure hunt, and an optional Sunday obstacle challenge. Burros/donkeys only; safety rules apply.

Run scenic, technical trails around Watson Lake Park in Prescott, from a 10K to a 92K ultramarathon, finishing by the dramatic Granite Dells. Expect single track, granite scrambles, and desert to pine scenery for all levels.

Run about 125 miles from Jerome to Flagstaff through Sedona red rock canyons and the Coconino National Forest on mostly single track trails. Expect epic scenery, a generous time limit, and staffed aid stations with vegan options.
