Course and logistics
The surface mix is primarily single-track (about 79%), with double-track (12%) and pavement (9%). The race uses a series of aid stations: the Sedona Canyons 125 has 10 aid stations and 2 water stations. Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink, sodas, snacks, fruit and most offer hot meals; vegan options are available on request. The event is cupless - runners must carry their own refill container for cold drinks; hot drinks are served in cups.
Crews are allowed only at designated crew-access aid stations and must follow aid station directions; receiving crew aid outside permitted locations may result in disqualification or a time penalty. Pacers are allowed on the Sedona Canyons course starting at mile 55 (Munds Park) and must accompany runners on foot, wear a pacer bib, and sign a pacer waiver. Carrying a GPS-enabled device with the course file downloaded is mandatory. The race has a 75-hour overall time limit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
