Sand to Serengeti is a trail race held at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville, NY on May 17, 2026. The event offers two distances:
- 10-mile course starting at the sandy beach, around Round Lake, up toward the area called the Serengeti, then returning to the beach.
- 3-mile course starting at the sandy beach and circling the two lakes back to the beach.

Logistics and prizes
Packet pick-up is available at Fleet Feet in East Syracuse before race day and on race morning. Parking is available in both beach parking lots and park restroom facilities will be open. The course includes water-only aid stations placed at multiple points; participants are advised to carry personal hydration or nutrition. Participants should wear appropriate trail footwear and accept the event release of liability when registering.
Swag and awards: 10-mile finishers receive a finisher medal; 3-mile participants receive a sports towel. Optional add-ons include a t-shirt and a neck gaiter. Cash awards are listed for the top three male and female finishers in the 10-mile ($100, $50, $25). The 3-mile awards are ribbons for first and second places by gender.
