English's Ridge Rumble

English's Ridge Rumble is a trail running event held at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville, NY. The event includes multiple distances and is USATF-sanctioned. It is the ninth annual running of this race and is the first event on the organizer's 2026 race calendar. The park is noted for two meromictic lakes with a blue-green color.

Course and conditions

The course begins and ends at the Reserve Picnic Shelter and uses an approximately 10 mile loop with about 1,300 feet of elevation gain. Trail surfaces vary; most is double-track composed of mulch beds, gravel, or grass, with some technical rock-and-root sections and a small portion of paved park road. The route passes features named The Serengeti, Round Lake, the Powerline Bypass, and Quarry Hill. The race traditionally takes place in mid-April, and weather conditions may range from snowy and cold to sunny and warm.

Registration and policies

Registration closes April 16, 2026. Prices increase after December 1 and again one month before the race. Runners who register after April 2 are not guaranteed a t-shirt. Refunds are not granted. Deferrals are permitted for pregnancy, injury, or volunteering if volunteer slots remain. Distance changes are allowed until online registration closes.
