The Saltire Trail Races take place on Saturday 9 May 2026 at Kilduff Farm, Athelstaneford, East Lothian (EH39 5BD). The event is held on the Kilduff Estate and runs alongside the Athelstaneford village summer fair.

Race details

  • 10 km - Price £15; places 100.
  • 5 km - Price £10; places 60.
  • 2 km - Price £5; places 80.

All ages are welcome. Routes are on a private estate and feature a mix of trail, tarmac and field boundary surfaces. There are no road crossings.

Prizes, charity and event features

All finishers receive a medal. Winners prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers. A cash prize of £100 is offered to the first male and first female finishers in the 5 km and 10 km races. All proceeds go to Athelstaneford Primary School Parent Council (Charity No: SC044133). The fair includes BBQ, drinks, cakes, games and other activities.
