The Saltire Trail Races take place in Athelstaneford, East Lothian, on Saturday 9 May 2026. All routes are on Kilduff Farm, a private estate, and feature a mix of trail, tarmac and field boundary with no road crossings. All proceeds go to Athelstaneford Primary School Parent Council (Charity No: SC044133). The event status is open and the closing date for entries is 02 May 2026.

Distances offered:

  • 10 km - Price £15; 100 places
  • 5 km - Price £10; 60 places
  • 2 km - Price £5; 80 places

All ages are welcome. Finishers receive a medal. Winners prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers. A £100 cash prize is offered to the first male and first female finishers in the 5 km and 10 km races. During and after the races there will be BBQ, drinks, cakes, games and other activities as part of the Athelstaneford village summer fair.
