The 50K course runs across trails in the Cronan Ranch area and travels from the Coloma area toward Folsom. For 2026 the course uses changes made in 2025: the finish for both distances is at Browns Ravine, the 50K includes Salmon Falls Ranch trails, and the half marathon start is at the Sweetwater Trail parking lot.

The final race cut-off is 4:30 PM, allowing roughly nine hours to finish; intermediate cut-offs will be posted. All finishers receive a locally made finisher medal.
