  • 50K
  • 34K
  • 17K

The race uses a roughly 10.5 mile loop around Saint Marys Lake and into the connected Salem Forest. Runners complete one, two, or three laps to match the advertised distances. The event is limited to 100 participants.

Course and logistics

The trail system includes about 7.5 miles of main route plus additional trails and is near local shops and restaurants. The loop surface is approximately 75% single track (dirt, roots, rock, wooden bridges), 20% forest road, and 5% crushed gravel along the dam. Each lap has about 500 ft of total elevation gain and descent. Trail markings are provided and a GPX route file is available.

There are two aid stations: the main aid at the park entrance/start area and a second aid near the Salem Forest parking on Indian Bridge Road. The main aid station will be staffed and offer warm food; the second station may not be staffed continuously and can receive drop bags. Pancakes are provided at the finish. The park remains open to the public during the event and other users such as mountain bikers, walkers, leashed pets, and horseback riders may be present. Day-use entry is credit-card only: $3 per vehicle for Maryland residents, plus $2 for out-of-state vehicles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
