Middleburg, United States • 12 Apr 2026

Event Overview

The Safe Animal Shelter Fundraiser Trail Run is an annual event supporting a no-kill animal shelter in Florida. All proceeds from the event are donated to the shelter, which provides care for cats and dogs until they are adopted.

Course Details

The run takes place on the Sandridge Trail in Jennings State Forest, starting from 2A Live Oak Ln in Middleburg, Florida. The course is described as wide, flat, and runner-friendly, alternating between covered and non-covered areas. The half marathon and 10k routes cross several small bridges over freshwater streams.

The event offers three distances, each with distinct course markings:

  • Big Dog 1/2 Marathon (Two-loop course): Trail marked with pink tree blazes and blue flags. Features two aid stations.
  • Little Pup 10k (One-loop course): Trail marked with pink tree blazes and blue flags. Features one aid station.
  • Kitten 5k (Out-and-back course): Trail marked with orange flags. Has no aid station.

Aid stations for the longer distances provide water, HEED, and gels. Participants are encouraged to bring their own hydration systems.
