The Sabre Alumni & Friends Cross Country Meet celebrates the local cross-country tradition in Sartell. The event takes place at the Sabre CC Course, located between the Sartell Intermediate and Middle Schools. This gathering serves as a fundraiser to support the local cross-country team and a memorial scholarship dedicated to a former coach.
Race Options
Participants can choose from multiple ways to engage with the event:
- 5K run-walk: A course open to alumni, community members, spouses, and partners of all abilities.
- Family Fun Run: A distance of approximately 600 meters intended for children and their family members.
Event Details
The event includes a check-in area at the start and finish line where day-of registration is available. Following the physical activities, a post-race reception is held on-site, including refreshments and a brief program. An informal gathering at a local sports bar and grill is also organized for participants later in the day.
Participants have the option to pre-register or join on the day of the event. While long-sleeve shirts were available for pre-order, a limited selection is typically available for purchase during the meet.
