Track Ultra Event in Mile End South

The SA Track Ultra is a long distance running event held at the SA Athletics Stadium on Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Drive. The competition takes place on a recently refurbished running track, providing a flat surface for all participants. Because the event is held on a 400 meter circuit, runners have access to aid, support crews, and other participants every lap.

The course is eligible for IAU labelling, making it a venue where athletes can attempt to establish national or world records. The event structure allows for constant monitoring of progress and easy access to nutrition and hydration throughout the duration of the race.

Participants can choose from a variety of set distances and time-based challenges:

  • 30 km
  • 50 km
  • 50 miles
  • 100 km
  • 100 miles
  • 24 hours

The stadium setting ensures that the running surface remains consistent for the duration of the event. This format is designed for those looking to test their limits on a predictable and controlled course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
