The Russell Forest Run is an annual running event held at Russell Crossroads near Lake Martin, Alabama, featuring certified 10K and 5K courses. The scenic routes traverse sand, clay, and gravel roads designed for runners, bicycles, and electric cars, passing landmarks like Kob’s Knob and Heaven Hill, offering beautiful views especially for 10K participants. The race starts and finishes at Russell Crossroads, with a lively post-race party near The Stables, including a popular Grits Bar and live music.

The event supports the Alexander City Schools Education Foundation and has donated nearly $133,000 over 15 years. Packet pickup occurs at the Discovery Center at Russell Crossroads.
