Alexander City, United States • 4 Apr 2026
Lake Martin event (Alexander City, AL)
The event is a multi-distance trail race held at Russell Crossroads near Alexander City, Alabama in early April 2026. Distances offered include:
- 100 miles
- 50 miles
- 27 miles
Registration closes on March 31. There is no race-day registration. Shirt orders close on March 23 and shirts cannot be guaranteed after that date. Packet pickup is available the day before and the morning of the race at the Cabin start location; runners must present a government photo ID and pick up their own packet.
Course, aid and rules
The course is three 25-mile loops. Each 25-mile loop is about 75% single track and about 5% double track carriage paths. There are roughly 4.5 miles of gravel road and about 200 yards on a paved walking path. The course layout places two main aid stations at the Cabin (start/finish) and Heaven Hill; these are a short drive apart and lie where the loops meet. Aid stations are spaced roughly 5 to 7 miles apart on trail.
Drop bag rules apply for 50 and 100 mile runners: the race will transport limited-size drop bags to Heaven Hill (100s may have two, 50s one). Pacers are allowed for 100 mile runners only after 50 miles and must follow check-in and release procedures. Runners may change distance before race day and remain eligible for awards; changing distance on race morning or during the race removes eligibility for place and age-group awards but still results in an official finisher award. Awards are given for overall places and selected age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
