Pinhoti 100 is a point-to-point 100-mile trail race in Sylacauga, Alabama. The 2026 edition is the 19th annual running and is a Western States qualifier. The 100-mile event has a 32-hour time limit. Early registration pricing of $350 was offered for a specified period and refund policies include a full refund through March 28, 2026, partial refunds at later dates, and no race day registration or entry transfers.
Course and logistics
The course runs on the Pinhoti single-track trail and crosses the Talladega National Forest, including the highest point in Alabama. The surface includes approximately 83 miles of single track, 17 miles of jeep road, and 2 miles of pavement, finishing at Lake Howard (Sylaward Trail Head). The race starts at Pine Glen Campground in the Choccolocco Wildlife Management Area. Buses and parking are provided for runners and crews; bus tickets are available in advance online. Packet pickup occurs the Friday before the race, and drop bags are accepted only at packet pickup. Crews must follow parking and crew-area rules; some aid stations permit crew access only for odd- or even-numbered bibs.
Aid stations and awards
The course includes multiple aid stations with specified mile markers, several accepting drop bags and some offering water only. Results are posted online. Awards include top three overall male and female, age-category awards, and a buckle for all finishers. Camping is available at the finish area.
