Pinhoti 100 is a point-to-point 100-mile trail race in Alabama. The 2025 edition is the 18th annual running and is a Western States qualifier for 2026. Distance: 100 miles with a 32-hour time limit. The course starts on the Pinhoti single-track trail near Heflin and finishes at the Sylaward Trail Head (Lake Howard) in Sylacauga. The route includes approximately 83 miles of single track, 17 miles of jeep road, and 2 miles of pavement, and crosses the highest point in Alabama within the Talladega National Forest.
Logistics, aid, and awards
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at the Sylaward Trail Head (Lake Howard); drop bags are accepted at packet pickup only. Bus transportation from Sylaward to the start is available for a fee if purchased in advance. Parking at start and finish is managed with odd/even vehicle instructions and race-day parking attendants. Restrooms and porta-johns are located at the start, several aid stations, and the finish.
The course features multiple aid stations with a mix of crew access, drop-bag locations, and water-only stations at specified mile marks. Results are posted on UltraSignup. Awards include top-3 overall male and female, age-group overall winners, and a buckle for all finishers.
