The Rebecca Mountain races are point to point trail events on the Pinhoti Trail system near Sylacauga, Alabama. The 50 Miler runs from Porter’s Gap on Hwy 77 to the Sylaward Trails at Lake Howard and combines roughly 31 miles of single-track Pinhoti Trail, about 6 miles of forest service road, and about 12 miles of Sylaward single-track. The 50 Miler lists approximately 5,171 feet of elevation gain and a 16 hour time limit. The 50K follows the same initial route for about 19 miles, continues on forest service roads, and joins Sylaward Trails for the final section to Lake Howard; its distance is listed at about 31.4 miles with a 10 hour time limit.

Aid stations are placed along the courses with named locations and mileages for both distances. Packet pickup is available at Lake Howard the day before the event and at the race start area on race morning. Bus service runs from Lake Howard to the start at Porter’s Gap; bus tickets cost $15. Parking at the start is limited and attendants will assist parking near the finish area. Restrooms are available at the start and finish.
