The Running with the Dogs event takes place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Kilgore, TX at the Dudley Road trailhead on the Creekside Trail. The race course starts and ends at the Dudley Road entrance of the Creekside Trail. The event program includes a Sleep in Supporter option in addition to races for participants.

Purpose and logistics

This is the 5th annual Running with the Dogs 5K. Funds raised benefit the Kilgore Independent School District Education Foundation, which provides financial support for district-wide programs and activities. Prizes are awarded to 1st through 3rd overall male and female finishers and winners of the kids race. Packet pickup is provided. Parents can watch the entire kids 1K course.
