Alpine Challenge 2026
The Alpine Challenge is a mountain trail running event held in Falls Creek, Victoria, at 17 Bogong High Plains Rd. The event takes place on 11 and 12 April 2026 and offers multiple distances across mountain terrain.
Distances offered include:
- 100 Mile 160 km; minimum age 18.
- 100 km; minimum age 18.
- 65 km; minimum age 18.
- Marathon; minimum age 18.
- 20 km; minimum age 16.
- 10 km; minimum age 12, 40% youth discount for ages 12 to 16.
- Kids Race; parents may accompany entered children.
The 100 mile route is described with six major climbs and a total of 7,600 m of ascent and descent. Named climbs on the course include Mt Feathertop, Mt Hotham, Mt McKay, Spion Kopje, Mt Nelse and Mt Bogong, which is Victoria's highest mountain.
