Running Tribe Races

Running Tribe Races offers a series of events taking place at two primary locations in Buckinghamshire: Chalfont Park Sports Club and Chalfont St. Peter Community Centre. These races are designed with a loop-based format, allowing participants to decide their final distance while out on the course.

The events utilize two distinct course styles. Courses 1, 2, and 3 are based on a 10.8 km loop consisting of 80% trail and 20% road, covering public footpaths and woods. This specific route includes approximately 2,100 feet of elevation gain over six laps. Available distances for these courses include:

  • 10 km
  • Half Marathon
  • Full Marathon
  • 40 Mile Ultra Marathon

Courses 4, 5, and 6 are held at the Community Centre location. These events offer a different range of distances:

  • 7 km
  • 14 km
  • Half Marathon
  • Full Marathon
  • 30 Mile Ultra Marathon

All participants have access to a central aid station at the start and finish line, which provides water, soft drinks, and vegan and vegetarian food. The loop format allows runners to maintain a designated drop bag area to access personal nutrition, equipment, or alternative footwear between laps. Courses are fully marked with clear indications for road crossings.

The event follows an open registration policy where anyone capable of running or walking 7 km is welcome. Pacers are permitted at any stage of the race, and crew members may support runners at any point along the course. Required equipment includes a mobile phone, a 500ml water capacity, a personal cup, and appropriate seasonal clothing such as a head torch for winter dates.
