Format and entry details
The course is a loop of 2.083 miles that must be completed once every 30 minutes. To remain in the competition, a participant must return to the starting corral before the next 30-minute whistle. The format runs over a 24-hour period; completing all 48 segments equals 100 miles. Individual participants can aim for milestone distances at 25, 50, and 75 miles. Relay teams may be composed of 2 to 4 people who share laps toward the 100-mile total.
