Tewinbury Trail 5K & 10K

The event offers two trail distances around the Tewinbury estate and hotel, north of Welwyn in Hertfordshire. Routes run entirely on estate trails and surrounding countryside and combine single-track forest paths, open dirt tracks and grassy sections.

The courses are undulating with short climbs and descents. Elevation figures are given as 5K (100 m) and 10K (180 m). Navigation is fully marked and marshalled using orange signage; a GPX track and a downloadable runner's guide are provided. A water and nutrition station (water, gels, jellybabies) is located at about 5.3 km on the 10K route. Cups will be supplied.

Entry details note a maximum field of 400 runners, minimum ages of 12 for the 5K and 16 for the 10K, and that dogs are not permitted. The races are held under UKA rules with TRA permitting pending. Facilities at the event base include onsite car parking, a bag drop and fixed toilet facilities. Welwyn North station is a short walk from the venue. Entries include chip timing with live results, a finisher souvenir, medical cover and on-route photography. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
