Hughenden Valley 10K
The Hughenden Valley 10 km is a trail race held around the National Trust's Hughenden Manor estate near High Wycombe. The course runs on woodland and rural footpaths and includes more than 195 m of ascent, with a mix of climbs and downhills.
The route is fully marked with orange arrow markers and ribbons. Marshals are positioned on the course to aid navigation. A water aid station is located at 5.3 km; cups are provided and bins are available for waste.
Some sections can be wet and muddy, so trail running shoes are recommended. There are no major road crossings on the course. A GPX file, an Ordnance Survey route view and a Garmin course are available for those who want to follow the route on a watch or phone.
The event base is at Hughenden Manor, a National Trust property, with onsite parking, toilet facilities and a cafe. The start and finish are on the park grounds close to the church. High Wycombe train station is about a 25 minute walk from the venue.
Entry is open to runners aged 16 and over. The listed general entry fee is £22 with a reduced fee of £20 for UKA affiliated runners. The race is held under Trail Running Association licence number 7444 and under UKA rules. Chip timing, medical support, bag drop and a finishers souvenir are provided.
