Hughenden Valley 10K
The Hughenden Valley 10K is a trail race that follows a route around the National Trust's Hughenden Manor estate, situated in Hughenden Valley near High Wycombe. The course covers 10 km with approximately 195 m of elevation gain, running over a mixture of woodland and rural trails.
The route is hilly with several climbs and descents. Some sections can be wet and muddy, so trail running shoes are recommended. Navigation is provided with orange arrow markers and ribbons, and marshals are positioned on the course. A water stop is located at 5.3 km; cups are provided and participants are asked to use the bins supplied.
The event base is at Hughenden Manor (HP14 4LA) and includes car parking, fixed toilets and a cafe. The start and finish area is on the park grounds near the church. High Wycombe train station is about a 25 minute walk from the event base for those arriving by public transport.
Entries are open to runners aged 16 and over. The event is held under UKA rules and carries TRA License No. 7444. Race services include chip timing with live results, medical support, bag drop, a finishers souvenir and free parking with entry to Hughenden Manor. The next edition is listed as TBC.
