Run to the Beach is a trail running event on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at North Tahoe Regional Park and Tahoe Vista Recreation Area Beach in Lake Tahoe. The event offers two distances:

  • 5K
  • 10K

The course follows scenic trails. The 5K is a shorter route, while the 10K includes a climb. The race finishes at Tahoe Vista Recreation Area Beach, which has sandy shore access for swimming and relaxing. Kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals will be available at the finish area from a local provider.

Registration fees vary by date and category. Examples:

Youth is defined as 18 years and under; Senior is 65 years and older. Parking is available at North Tahoe Regional Park for a small fee and is less than a mile from the race finish. A costume and attire contest will be held at the finish area with peer judging and prizes. Participants receive an event T-shirt, free digital race photo, post-event music and food and beverages, recovery food such as fruit, and on-site medical staff.
