The Run the Wild Half Marathon - Autumn Edition is a guided trail running event in the Chiltern Hills. The distance is 13 miles or approximately 21.1 km, with an ascent of around 300 meters. The route goes over undulating chalk hills and through local woods.
The event starts from the Iron Room Hall near Tring Station, about 40 minutes northwest of London. The railway station is a 3-minute walk from the start. Paid parking is available at the station.
Runners are grouped by ability, with groups led by qualified Run Leaders. The event includes instruction on trail running techniques. There is a refreshment point stocked with snacks and drinks provided over halfway. A finisher's medal is included.
Participants must be able to run a road 10 km in 90 minutes or less. The event is dog-friendly for participants using cani-cross equipment. Spectators are welcome and will be informed of viewing locations. The event aims to finish by around 1:00 PM.
