Run the Wild Half Marathon - Autumn Edition

This guided trail half marathon takes place in the Chiltern Hills and covers approximately 13 miles (21.1 km) with an ascent of around 300 m. The event runs over half a day and is based at the Iron Room near Tring Station. Tring station is about a three minute walk from the venue and offers paid parking and a taxi rank; limited free on-street parking is also available. The location is roughly 40 minutes north west of London by train.

The route follows undulating chalk hills and local woods. Runners are grouped by ability and led by English Athletics qualified Run Leaders who provide trail technique instruction. Steeper sections are walked if required. Facilities on the day include toilets, a bag drop and a stocked refreshment point a little over halfway. Participants receive a finisher's medal and a Trees Not Tees certificate.

Entry is limited to 50 spaces and the Autumn edition ticket price is listed at £55. Participants should be able to run 10 km on the flat in 90 minutes or less. Dogs are permitted only with cani cross equipment. A list of mandatory kit is required for the event and briefing information for spectators is provided to attendees before the run.
