Run the Wild Half Marathon - Autumn Edition
This guided trail half marathon takes place in the Chiltern Hills and covers approximately 21.1 km (13 miles) with an overall ascent of around 300 m. The event runs over half a day and follows undulating chalk hills and local woods near Tring.
Runners are grouped by ability and led by English Athletics qualified Run Leaders who provide trail technique instruction. Steeper sections are walked as required. A well stocked refreshment point sits just over halfway and there is a checkpoint on course. Facilities at the start location include toilets and a bag drop.
Location details list the Iron Room near Tring Station. Tring station is a short walk from the start and paid parking is available at the station with limited free on street parking nearby. The venue is reachable from London in around 40 minutes by train or road.
Entry details note a maximum of 50 spaces and a standard ticket price of £55. Participants should be able to run 10 km on the road in 90 minutes or less. The event is dog friendly for those using cani cross equipment. Included items are a Run Leader, a refreshment point, a finisher’s medal and a Trees not Tees certificate.
