The Event

The Run the Vineyards - Sheldrake Point Winery 5K is a chip-timed running and walking event. It takes place at Sheldrake Point Winery in Ovid, New York, overlooking Cayuga Lake.

The Course

The event features a single 5K distance. The course is a well-marked, cross-country style route through the winery's 200-acre vineyard property. It offers views of Cayuga Lake and runs on nice, wide trails with a combination of short-cut grass and packed dirt.

Amenities & After-Party

All participants receive a custom high-quality tech shirt in women's, men's/unisex, or youth sizes. Participants also receive a Run the Vineyards stemless wine glass at the finish. Free downloadable photos and free parking are provided.

After the race, there is an after-party. Participants aged 21 and over receive one complimentary glass of wine. Additional wine is available for purchase by participants and spectators. Live music is scheduled, and an on-site food truck is present. Indoor and outdoor seating is available; participants may bring their own blankets and chairs.
