Lucifer's Crossing is a trail race held at the Old Y Camp in Robert H. Treman State Park near Ithaca, NY. The event offers multiple distances that follow wooded singletrack and groomed park trails through the park's gorge and historic features.

Distances

  • Half Marathon 13.2 miles, two loops of the 10k course
  • 10K 6.66 miles, single loop
  • 5K 3.3 miles, abbreviated opening loop

Each distance begins with a roughly 1.5 to 2 mile rolling ascent on the wooded Rim Trail and includes a climb up a historic steep stone staircase. 10K and half marathon runners descend through the Lucifer Falls gorge then climb the Red Pine Trail, loop past the historic Old Mill, and finish with a mostly downhill section on the Finger Lakes Trail singletrack. 5K runners turn left at the top of the staircase to return on the Finger Lakes Trail.

Entrants receive park admission, an event shirt (only guaranteed for registrations before May 1), and post-race food from Fitnell Farms. Staging and check-in are at the Y Camp area. Parking is along the access road serving the staging area off Route 13, approximately half a mile up from the split with Route 34. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
