Course and logistics

All distances begin with a roughly 1.5 to 2 mile rolling ascent on the wooded Rim Trail and include a historic steep stone staircase. From the top, 5K runners turn left to return on the singletrack Finger Lakes Trail. 10K and half marathon runners descend through the Lucifer Falls gorge, ascend the Red Pine Trail, pass the historic Old Mill, and finish with a mostly downhill section on the Finger Lakes Trail singletrack. Half marathon participants complete two loops of the 10K course; the 5K follows an abbreviated opening loop. Parking is along the access road off Route 13 South, about 0.5 mile from the split with Route 34, with the Y Camp area serving as check-in and start/finish.
