The Parallel of Latitude Endurance Race is a fixed-time running event held in Dryden, NY on September 26, 2026. The event offers an 8-hour solo option and an 8-hour relay option. Course and logistics

The course is a 3.45-mile out-and-back on a flat, scenic rail trail next to Dryden Lake and aligned close to the 42nd parallel north. Elevation gain is described as little to none. One large aid station is available at the start of every loop with items such as pickles, soda, and potato chips. Race headquarters and the start/finish are at the big pavilion in Dryden Lake Park. Parking is available in designated park spots or by the dam less than a quarter mile away. Participants may set up pop-up tents or use one of two pavilions for rest and gear.

Rules, awards, and special features

There are no mileage or time cutoffs and walkers are encouraged. During the final hour, optional mini parallel of latitude loops inside the park may be completed; only full loops count toward mileage. Solo finishers receive a custom concrete finisher stone with their mileage recorded. Relay team members receive matching stones with the team total recorded.
