Finger Lakes 50s Trail Races
The Finger Lakes 50s are held on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in the Finger Lakes National Forest near Hector, NY. All races start and finish at the Potomac Group Campground. Camping is available in the forest for the race weekend. The event is part of the Finger Lakes Runners Club Trail Circuit.
Distances offered:
- 50 miles (three loops plus a half mile baby loop)
- 50K (approx. 32.9 miles; two loops)
- 25K (approx. 16.5 miles; single loop)
The course is a 16.5-mile loop with about 1292 feet of climb per loop. Surfaces include approximately 85% single-track trail, 5% grassy pastures with grazing cows, and 10% dirt and paved roads. Runners encounter four fully stocked aid stations on the course.
Before the event, 50K and 50 mile entrants may change their distance at the registration table; 25K entrants may complete only the 25K. After completing the second loop, 50K and 50 mile participants may change distance and have a time recorded with UltraSignup but will be ineligible for awards. Any uncompleted loop is recorded as a DNF.
A finish area includes a BBQ and awards and provides a social atmosphere for participants and guests. Registration closes Thursday, July 2 at 11:59 PM ET.
