Run the Ranch

Run the Ranch is a trail racing event held at the Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch in Loveland, Colorado. The event takes place on private land and features a variety of terrains and scenic views. Participants can choose between standard distance races or timed endurance formats.

The event offers several race options:

• 5k (3.1 miles) trail race.
• 10k (heavy) (6.2 miles) trail race.
• 4 hour trail run where participants complete as many laps as possible.
• 6 hour trail run where participants complete as many laps as possible.
• 12 hour solo trail run.
• 12 hour relay for teams of 2 or 4 people.

The course includes multiple creek crossings. Suggested gear for participants includes trail shoes, gaiters, a reusable water bottle, and a headlamp. A single aid station is located at the start and finish line providing water, nutrition, and various food items. All registered runners receive a meal ticket.

The 12 hour relay requires each team member to complete at least one full lap. During the final hour of the timed races, a shorter hot lap option becomes available for those unable to complete a full circuit before the time limit. Finishers in all categories receive an award.
