Run the Ranch : overview

Run the Ranch takes place April 10-11, 2026 in Loveland, Colorado at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch (2939 N CR 31D). The event includes on-site trail races and virtual options. Runners use private ranch trails with varied terrain. There is a ranch access fee of $5 per person per day. Every registered runner receives a meal ticket; extra meal tickets are available for guests or additional meals. 12-hour solo entrants receive an extra meal ticket.

Logistics, aid and rules

One aid station is located at the start/finish area and will offer water, VFuel and finish-line food. Saturday aid offerings include ramen, cookies, candy, and soft drinks in addition to finish-line food. Suggested gear includes trail shoes, gaiters, headlamp, trekking poles, extra socks, and a water bottle; there are multiple creek crossings on the Saturday course. Pacers and headphones/ear buds are not allowed on course. Anyone without a bib is not allowed on course.

Relay teams: each team member must complete one full lap. A "hot lap" opens one hour before a race ends to allow a final partial lap. The fastest last full lap is used as a tiebreaker. All participants must be off course by 7:00 pm on both days.

Awards

Top finishers in each event receive awards and gift cards from local businesses. Finisher awards are provided for the 5K, 10K, 4HR, 6HR and 12HR events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
