Run Smarter

Run Smarter is an in person session on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Outter Limits, 630 Broadway Avenue, Saskatoon, SK. The event is listed with a duration of 2 hours.

The program begins with a presentation titled "5 things every runner should know before their next run." It covers both technical and mental aspects of running and offers practical strategies that participants can apply right away. Topics include cadence and why it can matter more than speed for many runners, the difference between stability and strength and why more strength is not always the answer, and learning to move with less tension to improve efficiency.

The presentation also addresses when to push and when to heed the body's signals, and the role of training the nervous system through breathing, relaxation, and movement quality to improve efficiency, performance, and enjoyment.

Following the presentation, participants will go on a group trail run. The activity is in person and described as welcoming to all levels. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
