Trail Running Calendar Saskatchewan 2026-2027

Timed, mainly self supported 6 hour, 12 hour and 24 hour events on a flat 4 km loop at Wascana Lake. Medals for all finishers and awards for personal bests and 100 km.

An inflatable 5 km obstacle course at Meewasin Park featuring large inflatables, staggered heat starts, wristband check-in, and a finisher's medal. Participants under 13 need a guardian and all must meet a 42 inch minimum height.

A two hour, in person survival style fitness challenge at Meewasin Park for adults, kids and K9 that uses varied terrain and unrevealed obstacles. Participation requires acceptance of a risk waiver and tickets are nonrefundable.

The Northerner Race is a Canadian themed 5 km obstacle course held annually in Tisdale, Saskatchewan after the August long weekend. The course mixes traditional obstacles with playful Canadian twists and offers on-site food and beer gardens..

A Backyard Ultra on a 6.706 km loop at Echo Valley Provincial Park where runners repeat the same loop each hour until only one remains. A Prairie Daydream option lets participants try one to five loops with a later afternoon start allowed.

Trail races of 2.0 km, 5.5 km and 8.5 km take place in Fort à la Corne Island Forest at the Gronlid Cross Country Ski Trails. Early registration packages include lunch and swag and proceeds support trail infrastructure and conservation.

A 10 year anniversary trail event at Saskatchewan Landing on September 19, 2026, with distances from 1 km to 50 km. Features an untimed evening Flaming Unicorn run that follows the 10 km course and is free to join.

An obstacle race at the RCMP Academy grounds in Regina on September 26, 2026. Main course is 7.5 km with 26 obstacles; there is a 2 km kids Mini Mountie and a shorter adult sprint course.

A fall trail race on October 4, 2026 at Echo Valley Provincial Park offering 5k, 13k (approx. 400 m D+) and 26k options, starting at Glacier Rock Centre with proceeds supporting a local food bank.

Trail race at Blackstrap Provincial Park on October 4, 2026, with approximate 5 km and 10 km distances, an 80-runner cap, no official awards, five draw prizes, and a post-race wiener roast.
