The 25 km course continues onto the Diez Vistas Ridge, follows the Lakeview Trail, passes Buntzen Lake, and returns to Sasamat Lake. Course maps and elevation profiles are available, and GPX files for both routes can be downloaded from the event page. Each distance has one water station six kilometres in, where the courses split, and one aid station (KM 8.5 for the 13 km and KM 18 for the 25 km). The long course has a single cutoff at the aid station.

Entries include a $5 donation to Coquitlam Search & Rescue, one tree planted per entry, branded items, post-race soup and sushi, post-race massage, and professional chip timing.

Kids race

A non-competitive Kids Race of about 1 km is offered. It is untimed, free to register, and typically attracts children aged 3-10. Parents may donate to Butterfly Support Network during registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
