Run Ridge Run

Run Ridge Run is a trail race taking place in Port Moody, British Columbia. The event is held on a Saturday in February and offers two distances: 13 km and 25 km. The course travels around Sasamat and Buntzen Lakes, including sections of the Buntzen Ridge Trail.

The 13 km race skirts around Sasamat Lake on the Buntzen Ridge Trail. The 25 km race follows the same start, then attacks the Diez Vistas Ridge, follows the Lakeview Trail, and grazes Buntzen Lake before the final climb back to the finish at Sasamat Lake.

The event is organized by Coast Mountain Trail Running and serves as training for the Diez Vista race. The start and finish are at Sasamat Lake's White Pine Beach. A mandatory briefing for all runners is held 15 minutes before each race start. There is also a kids' race, approximately 1 km long, which is free to enter.

Registration is limited, and the event was listed as sold out for 2026. The organization is Trail Running labeled and cup-free. The race supports community organizations: each entry includes a $5 donation to Coquitlam Search & Rescue and funds the planting of a tree through an Indigenous reforestation program.
