Run For The Trail 7K Run and 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk

The Run For The Trail event takes place in Dilltown, Pennsylvania, starting at the Ghost Town Trail Access. It features two events.

The event benefits Indiana County Parks and Trails. Participants can register online until August 7th or on the race day at the Dilltown pavilion from 4:00 PM to 5:45 PM. Family discounted rates are available for groups of three or more.

All participants receive a soft-style t-shirt, compliments of InFirst Bank. A shirt is guaranteed for those who register by July 28th; after that date, shirts are available while supplies last.

For the 7K Run, chip timing by Gingerbread Timing will be used in 2026, with live results uploaded during the race. Awards for this distance include local artisan-made wooden train engines for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female masters. Gold, silver, and bronze railroad spikes are awarded to the top three male and female winners in five-year age groups, from 12 and under up to 70+.

For the 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk, timing is handled by A.T.S., with results posted online within 24 hours. All finishers are eligible for a drawing for up to five gift cards from local vendors.
