Course, format, registration, and awards
The main loop used for the 10K and the initial portion of the 12-Hour Challenge is described as a 3.26-mile lap that starts and finishes near the Cedar Pavilion. The route follows road, walking path, boardwalk, paved sections, grassy areas near the marina and canoe rental, the Lake Trail circling Double Oak Lake, crosses the dam, and includes about 200 yards on a horse trail before returning to the pavilion. The 10K comprises two laps of this course. For the 12-Hour Challenge, runners begin on the 3.26-mile loop, later switch to a 0.84-mile loop, and finish on a 582-foot loop for the final segment. Timing uses HuTag ankle chips; 12-hour entrants receive three tags and must exchange them when changing loops. Packet pickup and late registration are scheduled on the race weekend, with Saturday pickup at the Cedar Pavilion. The 10K has overall and age-group awards; all 12-Hour finishers receive finisher awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
