45th Annual Peavine Falls Run

The BTC Peavine Falls Run is an established 4th of July tradition in Central Alabama. This holiday event takes place in the natural scenery of Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham. The race is hosted by the Birmingham Track Club (BTC) and serves as a part of the BTC Race Series, which includes a bundle of four seasonal races.

The event features a single distance:

  • 8.2 Mile Run

The race course starts and ends at the Dogwood Picnic Pavilion located on Terrace Drive within the state park. Participants can expect to run or walk alongside several hundred other entrants. The park also offers facilities for camping, and the event website provides information regarding trail tips and local weather for participants.

All participants receive a gender-neutral shirt specific to the race, provided they register by the June 20 deadline to guarantee size availability. Membership in the Birmingham Track Club entitles runners to a discounted entry fee. Registration remains open until early July, with a price increase scheduled shortly before the event date.
