Run Fast… or Pretend Like You Are : 100 Mile Relay and Challenge

This event includes two linked offerings on Auburn trails and virtually. One is an official relay of 100 one-mile legs along Auburn trails, with exactly 100 relay spots available. Relay runners are expected to be able to run a mile under 10 minutes; the route is about 70% uphill with approximately 130 feet of elevation gain on the course. Each relay runner is assigned a specific mile number, an estimated start time, a check-in window, and the exact handoff location before the day of the relay. Organizers provide live tracking updates via social media and the event website, on-site coordinators, and volunteers at key exchange points. Runners are advised to arrive 30 to 45 minutes before their estimated start window.

The second option is a virtual 100 mile challenge completed over a multiweek window of 25 days. Participants may run, walk, or hike any time and anywhere and may track miles with a watch, app, notebook, or the honor system. Finishers receive a 100 mile finisher buckle and are included in community sharing and shoutouts. Both offerings list a registration fee of $35 and are associated with Auburn, California at 410 Robie Dr, Auburn, CA 95603.
