Run Fast… or Pretend Like You Are
This event offers two ways to take part in a 100 mile community project on Auburn trails near 410 Robie Dr, Auburn, CA. There is an official 100 mile relay made up of 100 runners and a separate 100 mile in 20 days individual challenge.
- Each relay runner: 1 mile on Auburn trails.
- Individual challenge: 100 miles completed within 20 days.
The official relay reserves 100 runner spots. Relay participants must be able to run a mile under 10 minutes and should note the route is about 70 percent uphill with roughly 130 feet of elevation gain. Each relay runner is assigned a specific mile number, an estimated start time, a check in window, and an exact handoff location before the event. Those assignments and updates will be sent by email and text and will be posted on organizer channels. Participants are advised to arrive at least 30 to 45 minutes before their estimated start time. On race day there will be live tracking updates, on site coordinators at key points, and volunteers guiding exchanges.
The 20 day challenge accepts any pace and any mode of movement including running, walking, or hiking. Participants track miles by watch, app, notebook, or honor system. Finishers receive a 100 mile finisher buckle. Both options list a registration fee of $35 and have their own registration windows. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
