Run for Wildlife - Banham Zoo 5 km

Run for Wildlife is an annual 5 km event at Banham Zoo on 09/05/2026, sponsored by Everywhen Insurance. The course runs through scenic parkland and includes a lap around the zoo. The route passes enclosures with kangaroos, emus, giraffes, maned wolves, vultures, llamas, gelada baboons, penguins, lemurs and meerkats.

Entry includes full day entry to Banham Zoo on race day, a finisher medal, discounted zoo tickets for friends and family, access to the Race Day Village, and fundraising prizes including a reward for the top fundraiser. An official race T shirt is available for purchase for adults and children.

Practical details: the entry fee is £17.50, capacity is limited to 1000 runners, minimum age is 6 years (under 11s must be accompanied by an adult). Buggy runners and babies in slings are not permitted. Free parking is available. Race numbers are collected on the day, a bag drop is provided, and there are water stations after the race plus hot food and drinks for purchase. Entries are non refundable but transfers to another runner are allowed until midnight the night before the event.

A roughly five mile off road trail run at High Lodge Thetford Forest with chipped timing and a finishers medal. Entries are non refundable but transfers to another runner are allowed until 06/07/2026.

A countryside event from Needham Market offering three routes of 13.5, 23 and 31.5 miles. The longest route visits ten historic churches and all routes include staffed checkpoints with refreshments.
