Run for Wildlife - Banham Zoo 5k

Run for Wildlife is a 5k event at Banham Zoo on 9 May 2026. The route passes through parkland and includes a lap around areas of the zoo, where runners may pass enclosures for species such as kangaroos, emus, giraffes, wolves, vultures, llamas, baboons, penguins, lemurs and meerkats. Some species may be off-show during the event to protect animal welfare.

Race entry includes full-day admission to Banham Zoo on race day, a finisher medal, discounted zoo tickets for friends and family, access to a Race Day Village, and eligibility for fundraising prizes. Fundraising is conducted via a GoFundMe page and a prize is offered for the top fundraiser. Entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred; transfers to another runner are available until 30/04/2026.

Event details listed by the organiser include an entry fee of £17.50, a maximum capacity of 1000 runners, and a minimum participant age of 6 years (under 11s must be accompanied by an adult). Buggy runners and babies in slings are not permitted. Free parking is available. Race numbers are collected on the day and a bag drop is provided.
