Run for Wildlife - Banham Zoo 5 km

Run for Wildlife is an annual 5 km event at Banham Zoo on 09/05/2026, sponsored by Everywhen Insurance. The course runs through scenic parkland and includes a lap around the zoo. The route passes enclosures with kangaroos, emus, giraffes, maned wolves, vultures, llamas, gelada baboons, penguins, lemurs and meerkats.

Entry includes full day entry to Banham Zoo on race day, a finisher medal, discounted zoo tickets for friends and family, access to the Race Day Village, and fundraising prizes including a reward for the top fundraiser. An official race T shirt is available for purchase for adults and children.

Practical details: the entry fee is £17.50, capacity is limited to 1000 runners, minimum age is 6 years (under 11s must be accompanied by an adult). Buggy runners and babies in slings are not permitted. Free parking is available. Race numbers are collected on the day, a bag drop is provided, and there are water stations after the race plus hot food and drinks for purchase. Entries are non refundable but transfers to another runner are allowed until midnight the night before the event.

Day 5 of the Great Barrow Challenge at Suffolk Running Centre features the Dalham Kiln half route with multiple distance options, parking, a base camp water station and daily medals.

Dinosaur Dash at Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure on 7 August 2026 offers a junior 2.5K, a 5K for ages 11+, and a 100m Diddy Dash for under-6s, with chip timing, medals, trophies, onsite refreshments and first aid.

A relaxed trail event with a 5 km run through Rougham sunflower fields, followed by bagels, drinks and DJ music in the field.

A guided 16k trail run at High Lodge in Thetford Forest with forest facts and practical trail running tips. Runs are led at a conversational pace and groups are matched by ability to help participants enjoy the woodland routes.
